This 9/16″ 19×19 rotation-resistant wire rope features a compacted construction that delivers increased strength, improved wear resistance, and enhanced service life compared to non-compacted ropes of the same diameter. Designed for demanding lifting and hoisting applications, the smooth compacted strands improve spooling performance while reducing crushing, abrasion, and surface wear.
The 19×19 construction provides excellent flexibility and handling characteristics while minimizing rope rotation under load. Its rotation-resistant design uses inner strands laid in the opposite direction of the outer strands, helping counteract rotational forces and improve load stability during lifting operations.
With more than 10 outer strands, this rope is classified as a Category 2 Rotation-Resistant Rope, offering significant resistance to rotation and superior spin control compared to Category 3 constructions such as 8×19 wire rope.
Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in increased breaking strength and dependable performance in demanding lifting applications.
The class of this wire rope is 19×19. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of 19 outer strands with approximately 15-26 wires making up each strand. This high strand count contributes to the rope’s flexibility, handling characteristics, and rotation-resistant performance.
This wire rope utilizes compacted strands that are drawn through a series of rollers and dies during manufacturing. The compacting process reduces strand diameter and creates a smoother outer surface, resulting in increased strength, improved spooling characteristics, enhanced abrasion resistance, and greater resistance to crushing and wear.
The smoother profile also helps extend service life in demanding lifting and hoisting environments.
This wire rope features a bright steel finish protected with an A-1 petroleum-based lubricant applied to both internal and external wires. The lubricant helps reduce friction, minimize internal wear, and provide basic resistance against moisture and corrosion.
The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides greater structural support than fiber core constructions. IWRC wire rope offers enhanced crushing resistance, improved load stability, and dependable operation in temperatures ranging from -40F to 400F.
Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.
Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.
Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
