Manufactured from Type 304 stainless steel, this wire rope provides greater corrosion resistance than galvanized wire rope while maintaining higher strength and a more economical price point than Type 316 stainless steel. The 6×37 class construction offers excellent flexibility and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for applications that involve frequent movement, bending, and cycling over sheaves or drums.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

This wire rope is manufactured using Type 304 stainless steel, a popular material choice for applications requiring dependable corrosion protection without the added cost of marine-grade alloys. It provides excellent resistance to rust and environmental exposure while maintaining strong mechanical properties.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands surrounding the core and approximately 27-49 wires per strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36. If a different construction is required, please contact us before ordering.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides increased support and structural stability compared to fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction improves crushing resistance and maintains rope integrity under load, with a general operating temperature range of -40F (-40C) to 400F (204C).

Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.

Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.

Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
