This 3/4″ bright steel wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6×37 class construction, making it an excellent choice for applications that require flexibility and resistance to bending fatigue. Commonly used in hoisting systems, suspension applications, winch lines, and general rigging, this wire rope delivers dependable performance in dynamic load environments.

Flexible Wire Rope for Hoisting, Suspension & Winch Applications

The 6×37 class construction is engineered to provide greater flexibility and fatigue resistance than 6×19 wire rope, making it ideal for applications involving repeated bending over sheaves and drums. While it offers less abrasion resistance than a 6×19 construction, its superior bendability helps extend service life in high-cycle lifting and movement applications. Manufactured from EIPS-grade steel, this rope delivers enhanced tensile strength and durability for demanding industrial use.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope, providing approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope and improving overall break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands surrounding the core and approximately 27-49 wires within each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36. If a different construction is required, please contact us before ordering.

Finish & Core

This wire rope features a bright steel finish protected with an A-1 petroleum-based lubricant. The lubricant is applied to both internal and external wires to reduce friction, minimize wear, and provide basic resistance against moisture and corrosion.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides greater support and structural stability than fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction improves crushing resistance and performs well in elevated temperature applications, with a general operating range of -40F (-40C) to 400F (204C).

Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.

Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.

Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
