This 3/4″ galvanized wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a flexible 6×37 class construction, making it an excellent choice for lifting, hoisting, suspension, and winching applications that require both corrosion resistance and superior bending performance. Designed for demanding outdoor and industrial environments, it delivers long service life and dependable strength.
The 6×37 class construction provides greater flexibility and fatigue resistance than 6×19 wire rope, making it ideal for applications involving repeated bending over sheaves and drums. While it offers slightly less abrasion resistance than a 6×19 construction, its ability to withstand continuous flexing helps maximize service life in dynamic applications. Combined with a hot-dip drawn galvanized finish, this rope provides outstanding corrosion protection without sacrificing strength.
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and long-term durability.
The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands surrounding the core and approximately 27-49 wires per strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36. If a different construction is required, please contact us before ordering.
Hot-dip drawn galvanization provides superior corrosion resistance compared to bright wire rope while maintaining the rope’s original strength. Unlike traditional galvanizing methods that can reduce breaking strength, the drawn galvanization process preserves full load capacity. The process also improves ductility and helps prevent coating flaking or cracking, creating a more durable rope for outdoor and moisture-prone environments.
The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides additional support and crushing resistance compared to fiber core alternatives. It helps maintain rope stability under load and performs well in elevated temperature applications, with a general operating range of -40F (-40C) to 400F (204C).
Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.
Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.
Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
