1/4″ 7×19 Aircraft Cable | 316 Stainless

This 1/4″ 7×19 Type 316 stainless steel aircraft cable is a highly flexible, corrosion-resistant cable designed for marine, outdoor, and high-moisture environments. Commonly used in boat rigging systems, pulleys, winches, and architectural cable applications, the 7×19 construction provides excellent flexibility and fatigue resistance while delivering the superior corrosion protection associated with marine-grade stainless steel.

1/4″ Marine-Grade 316 Stainless 7×19 Aircraft Cable for Rigging, Railings & Marine Applications

Manufactured from Type 316 stainless steel, this aircraft cable offers the highest level of corrosion resistance available among common stainless steel cable options. The addition of molybdenum enhances protection against rust, saltwater exposure, and harsh environmental conditions, making it ideal for marine and coastal applications. Its 7×19 construction uses multiple strands of smaller wires to create a flexible cable that performs exceptionally well in applications involving movement, pulleys, and repeated bending.

Key Features

  • Type 316 Stainless Steel: Marine-grade stainless steel provides exceptional corrosion resistance in harsh and saltwater environments.
  • 7×19 Construction: Delivers outstanding flexibility and fatigue resistance for dynamic cable applications.
  • Superior Weather Resistance: Designed to withstand moisture, marine exposure, and outdoor conditions.
  • Standards Compliant: Meets Federal Specification RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 dimensional and strength requirements.

Common Applications

  • Boat rigging systems
  • Marine and dock installations
  • Deck and cable railing systems
  • Winch and pulley assemblies
  • Architectural cable projects

Installation Tips

  • Use Type 316 stainless steel fittings and hardware to maximize corrosion resistance throughout the system.

Wire Rope by the Foot Ordering FAQ

Will my 316 stainless steel wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
