Domestic 7/8″ 6×37 Bright Wire Rope – EIPS IWRC

Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 7/8″ bright wire rope delivers exceptional flexibility and fatigue resistance for demanding lifting, rigging, and suspension applications. Featuring a 6×36 construction and Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), it provides excellent strength, crush resistance, and durability in applications where repeated bending and movement are common.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

High-Flex Steel Cable for Hoisting, Winching & Suspension Systems

The 6×36 construction is engineered to withstand repeated bending cycles, making it more flexible and fatigue-resistant than comparable 6×19 wire rope. While sacrificing some abrasion resistance, it excels in dynamic applications where smooth operation and long service life are critical. The bright finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that reduces internal friction and provides basic protection against moisture and wear. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications, this wire rope delivers dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope. Its tensile strength is approximately 10% greater than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved breaking strength and load-carrying performance.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope: six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36, which falls within the 6×37 classification and delivers the flexibility and fatigue resistance expected from this class of rope.

Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.

Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.

Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
