7/16″ 6×37 Wire Rope Cable | Galvanized

This 7/16″ galvanized wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a flexible 6×37 class construction. Designed for applications requiring repeated bending and reliable performance, this wire rope is commonly used for hoisting, suspension systems, winch lines, lifting equipment, and general rigging applications where flexibility and corrosion resistance are essential.

Corrosion-Resistant Wire Rope for Hoisting, Rigging & Winch Applications

The 6×37 class is known for its superior flexibility and fatigue resistance compared to 6×19 wire rope. Its construction allows the rope to bend repeatedly with less risk of wire fatigue, making it an excellent choice for applications involving pulleys, sheaves, and continuous movement.

Combined with a hot-dip drawn galvanized finish, this wire rope offers enhanced protection against rust and environmental exposure, making it well-suited for outdoor and moisture-prone applications where long service life is critical.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved breaking strength and dependable load-handling performance.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36, which falls within the 6×37 classification and delivers the same flexibility and fatigue-resistant characteristics expected from this class of wire rope.

Hot-Dip Drawn Galvanized Finish & IWRC Construction

The hot-dip drawn galvanizing process provides superior corrosion resistance while maintaining the rope’s original strength. Unlike some standard galvanization methods that can reduce breaking strength, this process preserves performance while improving durability and ductility. The coating also resists flaking and cracking during service.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) provides greater support than fiber core constructions. IWRC wire rope offers superior crush resistance, enhanced load stability, and dependable performance in temperatures ranging from -40F to 400F.
