The Simpson Strong-Tie MPSC Shim Plates are designed to be used with the MPSC Point-Supported Column Connectorseries. MPSC Shim Plates provide a precise, stable interface betweenpoint-supported steel columns and their bearing surfaces. Engineered to fill gaps and ensure full bearing contact, these shim plates play a critical role in structural performance and load transfer. Whether you’re working with structural steel, hollow columns, or architectural builds, MPSC shim plates deliver reliable leveling and alignment at the base connection point.

The slotted hole in the top connection (provided on all MPSC sizes except the MPSC100U) allows for vertical height adjustment of the connection with the use of shim plates. Shim plates slot around the knife plate of the top connection and attach with screws through the top plate into the column above.

Crafted from Zinc G90 galvanized steel, these shims offer enhanced corrosion resistance for interior and protected outdoor environments. Their flat, uniform profile makes them ideal for stacking or pairing with point-supported column connectors, particularly in situations where field adjustments are required.
