Lever load binders are a proven choice in the trucking and transportation industry, built to tension transport chain and keep your load anchored securely on flatbeds and trailers.

Grade 70 / 80 Lever Binder Construction

This snap binder is built from forged carbon steel for superior durability compared to cast handles. Forged steel withstands higher forces without breaking, delivering maximum leverage and longer service life. The design also incorporates slightly larger threads than many competitors for a stronger, more reliable hold.

Grab hooks on each end provide secure connection points, with shallow throats that easily engage with chain links. A durable powder-coated finish is applied through an electrostatic process at high temperatures (around 270F), giving the binder scratch- and heat-resistance for long-lasting performance.

Why Choose a Lever Load Binder?

Lever binders rely on leverage rather than a ratcheting mechanism to tighten chain. Theyre valued for quick operation and reduced maintenance thanks to fewer moving parts. However, lever binders do carry the risk of snapback, as the handle stores kinetic energy. For a safer option, consider a recoil-less lever binder.

Important Safety Note: Never use a cheater bar with lever binders. Cheater bars increase the risk of severe injury due to snapback.

Lever Binder Industry Compliance

This binder is FMCSA / DOT compliant and meets or exceeds WSTDA T-6 Recommended Standards. The working load limit and traceability code are embossed on the handle and body, while the hooks are marked with grade and size for easy inspection.

Warning: Binders

Do not exceed the binder’s working load limit.

Hand-tighten only; do not use a cheater bar.

Handle should be tightened at a downward angle.

Do not tighten or release the binder while you or anyone else is standing on the load.

Wrap the loose end of the chain around the handle and tightened chain for safety.

Do not close your hand around the binder.

Inspect binder prior to use for signs of wear. Do not use if damaged.

To ensure the load remains secure, check binders frequently.
