The Corex Fire Plasterboard is a high-performance, non-combustible gypsum board designed for applications where enhanced fire protection, dimensional stability and reliable mechanical performance are required. Suitable for a wide range of internal and external construction applications, it is particularly well suited to structural steel protection, shaft walls, wall systems, ceilings, cladding and other passive fire protection installations.
Manufactured to provide superior fire resistance, it achieves a Euroclass A1 reaction-to-fire classification in accordance with EN 13501-1. This makes it suitable for construction projects where non-combustible materials are required to help limit the spread and development of fire.
In addition to its fire performance, the board offers good thermal characteristics, with a declared thermal conductivity of 0.25 W/mK. Its stable composition helps minimise dimensional movement, reducing the risk of shrinkage and expansion after installation and helping maintain the integrity of completed wall, ceiling and fire protection systems.
Corex Fire Plasterboard is designed with ease of installation in mind.
