The bright steel finish is lubricated with an A-1 petroleum-based coating that helps reduce internal friction while providing basic moisture and corrosion resistance. Compared to 6×37 wire rope, the 6×19 class offers improved abrasion resistance while maintaining the flexibility needed for many common wire rope applications.
