3/8″ 6×37 Galvanized Wire Rope – EIPS IWRC

This 3/8″ galvanized wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6×36 construction with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC). Designed for flexibility, fatigue resistance, and corrosion protection, it performs exceptionally well in lifting, winching, suspension, and rigging applications where repeated bending and exposure to the elements are common.

The 6×37 class offers greater flexibility and fatigue resistance than 6×19 wire rope, making it an excellent choice for dynamic applications that involve continuous movement over sheaves and drums. The hot-dip drawn galvanized finish delivers superior corrosion resistance without reducing the rope’s original strength, helping extend service life in outdoor, marine, and high-moisture environments. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 requirements, this wire rope is built for dependable industrial performance.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope. Its tensile strength is approximately 10% greater than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and enhanced load-handling performance.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands and approximately 27-49 wires within each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36, providing exceptional flexibility and fatigue resistance while maintaining excellent strength characteristics.
