This 5/16″ 1×7 guy wire is manufactured from Extra High Strength (EHS) galvanized steel and is designed for tensioning, bracing, and structural stabilization applications. With exceptional tensile strength and minimal stretch, it is commonly used to support communication towers, antennas, utility poles, guyed masts, and other free-standing structures where dependable load-bearing performance is critical.
The 1×7 construction is the stiffest guy strand configuration available, providing excellent resistance to elongation under load while maintaining maximum tensile strength. The hot-dip galvanized finish protects against corrosion and weather exposure, making it ideal for long-term outdoor installations. For applications requiring greater flexibility or improved resistance to compressive forces, consider a 1×19 guy wire configuration.
Our guy wire is manufactured using EHS-grade steel. EHS (Extra High Strength) steel provides approximately 40% greater tensile strength than standard HS-grade steel, resulting in improved break strength and long-term structural reliability.
The class of this cable is 1×7. The second number represents the number of wires within the single strand construction. In this configuration, seven wires are stranded together to create a rigid, high-strength cable designed specifically for tensioning and support applications.
