The 6×37 class is known for its superior flexibility and ability to withstand repeated bending cycles. Compared to a 6×19 wire rope, the 6×37 construction offers greater fatigue resistance and easier handling, making it ideal for applications where the rope frequently passes over sheaves or drums. While it provides less abrasion resistance than a 6×19 rope, it excels in dynamic lifting and movement-intensive operations.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

This wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade (Extra Improved Plow Steel) steel. EIPS wire rope provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in increased breaking strength and dependable performance under demanding loads.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6×36, which falls within the 6×37 classification and delivers excellent flexibility and fatigue resistance.

Bright Finish & IWRC Construction

This rope features a bright steel finish protected with A-1 petroleum-based lubricant applied to both internal and external wires. The lubricant helps reduce friction, minimize internal wear, and provide basic resistance to moisture and corrosion.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) offers greater support than fiber core constructions. IWRC wire rope provides improved crush resistance, enhanced load stability, and reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -40F to 400F.

Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.

Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.

Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
