Crosby S-281 6.25 Ton Web Sling Shackles – Strong, Reliable, and Sling-Ready

The Crosby S-281 6.25 Ton Web Sling Shackle is designed to support synthetic slings with greater stability, efficiency, and safety. Its squared bow shape distributes tension across a wider surface area, allowing slings to operate at 100% of their rated Working Load Limit. This design reduces bunching and sling wear, improving performance by at least 15% over standard anchor shackles and eye hooks.

Forged from high-strength alloy steel, the S-281 maintains the same pin dimensions and ear spacing as conventional Crosby shackles, allowing for easy swapping or integration. The screw pin closure offers quick and secure connections, especially useful in flexible or temporary rigging environments.

This model is designed for use with Type 3, Class 7, 2-ply web slings with a webbing width of 4″. For slings 3″ or wider, a tapered eye is required to ensure proper fitment. Each unit is stamped with Crosby branding, the PIC code, and working load limit, and is proof tested to 2x the WLL.
