The Simpson Strong-Tie SAGE–B44 Decorative Post Base secures 4×4 posts to existing concrete while adding the clean black hardware look of the Outdoor Accents Sage System. Built from 14-gauge ZMAX galvanized steel with a black powder-coat finish, this post base provides corrosion resistance, long-lasting durability, and a finished appearance for pergolas, patios, and other outdoor wood structures. Its outside flange design allows the base to be attached to concrete before or after the pergola is finished.

Installation

Install the SAGE-B44 post base to the wood post using Outdoor Accents connector screws, then secure the base to existing concrete with Titen Turbo concrete and masonry screw anchors. Predrilling is required for the concrete anchors. Simpson specifies 12 SD10112DBB Outdoor Accents connector screws and 8 TNTBL25134H Titen Turbo anchors per post base.
